The Port of San Diego and Caltrans will host public meetings to gather input on a proposed community sign, which would serve as a gateway to the Barrio Logan neighborhood.
The first public meeting for input on overall concepts for the sign's design will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Woodbury University School of Architecture, 2212 Main Street in San Diego. Light refreshments and translation services will be provided.
Public input is welcome throughout the process. Future meetings will invite input on conceptual designs and design refinements. Once a meeting schedule is determined, the dates will be announced to the public.
Ideas from these meetings will be used to create a final draft design that would be presented to the Barrio Logan community. After the final outreach session, the recommended concept would be presented to the Board of Port Commissioners.
