Park Hotel Group won clinched three coveted awards at the prestigious 2012 Asia Hotel Forum (AHF) Asia Hotel Awards. Unveiled in a grand ceremony held at Shanghai World Financial Center on 7 September 2012, the awards are:
Best Hotel Owner of the Year – Park Hotel Group
Best Hotel Investor of the Year – Mr Allen Law, CEO of Park Hotel Group
Leading Green Business Hotel of Asia – Grand Park City Hall
Park Hotel Group was presented with the Best Hotel Owner of the Year in the Management Group Awards category, in recognition for its excellent track record and significant contributions to the industry. Furthermore, the Group made its first foray into the hotel management business, having recently inked an agreement for the management of a new build 13-storey hotel in Singapore, which is slated to be completed in 2015. “We are deeply honoured to be conferred with this award, which clearly acknowledges our dedication and commitment to quality and excellence,” said Mr Law. “We continue to look out for investment opportunities and suitable hotel management projects in the region to reaffirm our position as one of the best asset managers and operators in the industry.”
Mr Law also won the Best Hotel Investor of the Year for his good business acumen and contributions to the industry. As a dynamic and visionary leader, Mr Law led the Group into an aggressive expansion in 2005, acquiring seven properties in the Asia Pacific within a short span of four years. Some of his other notable achievements within the Group include the launch of Park Hotel Academy, the Group’s official training and development faculty, as well as the establishment of its hotel management services division.
This year’s event also saw Grand Park City Hall bagging the Leading Green Business Hotel of Asia. An architectural gem occupying a prime spot in Singapore’s Civic District, Grand Park City Hall was lauded for its continuous green efforts in water management, energy conservation and solid waste minimisation. Strategically located near the Central Business District and Marina Bay, the hotel is a popular choice for both business and leisure travellers.
