PPHE Hotel Group celebrated the opening of three new Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts properties on the Istrian peninsula of Pula in Croatia this summer. Ideal for families, Park Plaza Verudela Pula offers stylish self-catering studios and one and two bedroom apartments with some overlooking the Adriatic sea, the stunning Park Plaza Histria Pula offers complete luxury including a wellness centre with sauna and spa and Park Plaza Medulin is located within the historical fishing town of Medulin alongside the Medulin Riviera; perfect for a relaxed holiday.
Recent completed refurbishments for PPHE Hotel Group include a multi-million euro renovation programme at Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport which included a complete transformation of all public areas on the ground floor. art’otel budapest underwent a 75-room refurbishment and introduced a new lounge and bar and art’otel berlin city center west saw it extended by 61 new rooms and the creation of the all-new FACTORY bar and two meeting rooms. Park Plaza Leeds’ 187 rooms were extensively refurbished and a newly designed Penthouse suite was introduced while Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam is currently undergoing extensive renovations of its meetings and events space, due for opening autumn 2012.
In August 2012, PPHE Hotel Group reported its unaudited interim results for the first half year of 2012, showing an improvement in financial performance with total revenue and EBITDA increasing on a reported and like for like basis. Hotels in the United Kingdom continued to deliver a good performance with Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London continuing to exceed expectations. Planned new hotel development projects include art’otel amsterdam in the Netherlands, Park Plaza Nuremburg in Germany, new hotel developments in West London and art’otel london hoxton in the United Kingdom and a new hotel development in Pattaya in Thailand.
