 A high-energy celebration of street artists and their craft, the 2012 Goyang Lake Park Arts Festival will be taking the streets of Lake Park in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do by storm from Oct 3 to 7.
This year, over a thousand artists from 115 countries will be taking part in the festivities, presenting a dizzying array of street art performances ranging from puppet shows to skits, dances, and songs.
One of the main highlights of this year’s festival is “Girafes Operette Animaliere,” a mammoth parade combining opera, circus performances, and a large-scale puppet show with 9 red giraffes and over 50 dancers. Produced by Compagnie Off, one of the leading street art groups in France, “Girafes Operette Animaliere” promises to be a show-stopping number, the likes of which has never before been seen in Korea.
