The annual Yeourak Festival, featuring world-famous Korean traditional music artists, is running until July 21st at The National Theater of Korea in Seoul.
During the festival period, a total of 13 groups will stage performances at several different venues both inside and outside of The National Theater of Korea. Some of the performances will include audience participation for an enhanced festival experience. Finally, the festival will end with the two-part Yeourak Concert, composed of indoor and outdoor concerts featuring all of the artists.
Admissions are 30,000 won per person for all indoor performances, and free for all outdoor performances except for the "Piri, Set" performance (20,000 won per person).
Meanwhile, the festival title, "Yeourak," is the acronym for "Here is Our Music" (Yeogi Uri Eumaki Itta) in Korean, and represents the collective performance and global adaptation of Korean traditional music.
