Visit Milestones in Basingstoke’s Leisure Park from Tuesday 6th November for a magical experience as the Victorian streets in Hampshire’s living history museum reveal the unexplainable. Be amazed as you watch live magic performances and optical illusions, guess how magicians perform their astonishing tricks, play with interactives and help celebrate Winnie the Witch’s 25th birthday.
Expect to ‘meet’ a Dalek as you follow an adventure time trail which starts at Dr Who’s Tardis; make a magic wand and cast a spell, listen to stories of the unbelievable and dress up as a witch or wizard. You can also pre-book a place at an expert magic workshop and discover how to amaze friends and family with your own tricks.
Magic at Milestones continues through the festive season until Sunday, 6th January 2013. Activities will vary from day-to-day with family events taking place over weekends and during school holidays.
The museum’s network of streets with their full-size replicas of original buildings, shops, an Edwardian alehouse and other businesses that existed across Hampshire will remain open as usual throughout the Magic event, as will the 1950s style café and gift shop, where you will be able to find magic themed items for sale. Father Christmas will also have a gift for children visiting his grotto over the weekends of 8-9 and 15-16 December (extra fee).
