Candle Dipping Workshop at Senate House on Aug. 19

The scent of warm honey will fill the air at Senate House State Historic Site on Sunday August 19. Join staff from 2pm-4pm to learn the time - honored tradition of dipping beeswax candles. Beeswax has been used to make candles for centuries.  It produces a slow-burning candle with a warm glow.  The technique is easy and fun for all ages.  This workshop is free and open to the public.  All are invited to attend.  Senate House State Historic Site is located in uptown Kingston between Fair St. and Clinton Ave. with parking off of Clinton Ave.

Senate House State Historic Site is part of a system of parks, recreation areas and historic sites operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, and the site is one of 28 facilities administered by the Palisades Interstate Park Commission in New York and New Jersey.
