Summer Network & Hub Development (May – September 2026)

The summer season ushers in an exciting phase for Porter Airlines starting in May 2026. With several new routes introduced, the airline is set to elevate connectivity, particularly through the Montreal Metropolitan Airport (YHU), which is evolving into a key hub for the airline, enhancing passenger flow from various Canadian cities.

  • May 12, 2026: Launch of the route connecting Toronto Pearson (YYZ) with Quebec City (YQB).
  • May 14, 2026: A new flight path from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Boston (BOS) catering to both leisure enthusiasts and business professionals.

Moreover, travelers can look forward to a year-round service commencing on May 21, 2026, between Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Austin (AUS), with five flights each week, catering to increasing travel demands between these dynamic tech hubs.

By June 2026, the focus remains on elevating the role of Montreal Metropolitan Airport (YHU), which will see daily services to key destinations. Starting from June 15, 2026, several notable daily routes will be introduced, including:

  • Montreal (YHU) to Toronto City (YTZ) with 27 weekly flights.
  • Montreal (YHU) to Toronto Pearson (YYZ) with 20 weekly flights.
  • Montreal (YHU) to Vancouver (YVR) with 14 weekly flights.
  • Montreal (YHU) to Halifax (YHZ) with 14 weekly flights.
  • Montreal (YHU) to Quebec City (YQB) and St. John’s (YYT) with 7 weekly flights each.

The expansion continues with even more routes to cities such as Edmonton (YEG), Calgary (YYC), Charlottetown (YYG), Winnipeg (YWG), and Moncton (YQM), all operating seven days a week. Notably, the Montreal to Hamilton (YHM) route will operate 14 times per week starting from June 22, 2026.

In a significant operational change, Porter Airlines will migrate all Chicago flights from Midway (MDW) to the more centrally located O’Hare (ORD) on September 1, 2026. This move is also expected to bring about a frequency increase with three daily flights available.

Winter Sun Destination Introductions (October – December 2026)

  • November 23, 2026: Beginning of five weekly flights from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to Montego Bay (MBJ), and two from Ottawa (YOW) to Montego Bay (MBJ).
  • December 2, 2026: Launch of the new route from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) to San José, Costa Rica (SJO), operating 4 times weekly.
  • December 20, 2026: Hamilton (YHM) to Montego Bay (MBJ) will be introduced with 2 weekly flights.

Increased Frequencies for Popular Winter Routes

The winter of 2026 will bring significant capacity growth across existing sun routes, with many routes experiencing frequency boosts to cater to the rising demand for leisure travel.

  • Ottawa (YOW) to Cancun (CUN) will double its service to 10 times weekly.
  • Ottawa (YOW) to Miami (MIA) will now operate 4 times weekly.
  • Ottawa (YOW) to Nassau (NAS) expands to 2 times weekly.
  • Ottawa (YOW) to Fort Myers (RSW) will operate 5 weekly flights.
