Set to elevate travel options for winter adventurers, airBaltic, the Latvian airline, has announced two exciting new routes for the 2026/2027 winter season. These connections will link the cultural capitals of Riga and Vilnius to two major European hubs: Turin, Italy and Geneva, Switzerland. The new seasonal route between Riga and Turin will commence on January 30, running through to March 20, 2027, with flights scheduled for Saturdays. This convenient timing allows ski and leisure travelers to enjoy weekend escapes to this northern Italian gem, famous for its rich history and proximity to the Alps. The journey will take approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes, promising an efficient travel experience to one of Italy’s most vibrant cities.

Similarly, travelers from Lithuania will benefit from a new connection from Vilnius to the prestigious city of Geneva starting January 2, 2027. Like the Riga flight, the Vilnius–Geneva service will also operate on Saturdays and takes just under three hours. Geneva’s standing as a global center for diplomacy and business makes it a sought-after destination for both work and leisure travelers, particularly during the winter season.

Both of these new routes will be serviced by airBaltic’s state-of-the-art Airbus A220-300 aircraft, which is renowned for its fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.
