Under the leadership of Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, this multifaceted strategy seeks to position Thailand as a premier travel destination in Southeast Asia. Collaboration among key stakeholders—including the Department of Airports, the Civil Aviation Training Centre, and Thai Airways International—is underway to develop actionable plans that connect metropolitan regions with regional sites. This coordination aims to ensure that the financial gains from tourism significantly benefit local communities.

Deputy Transport Minister Phattrapong Phattraprasit has issued specific instructions to Thai Airways International to explore increasing flight frequencies and adding new routes in response to rising demand from international tourists and local travelers. This expansion aims to enhance transportation links across Thailand, reflecting distinct operational needs throughout the kingdom.
On the domestic side, the national airline is encouraged to enhance services connecting regional airports like Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, and Udon Thani. By boosting flight frequencies to these destinations, the government anticipates reinforcing local transportation networks, making it easier for travelers from urban areas to visit these beautiful provinces.
At the same time, international growth strategies are being directed towards establishing direct flights connecting foreign markets to high-potential tourism spots. In addition to Krabi, Surat Thani and Hua Hin are also being targeted for direct international flights. The primary market focus for these routes includes affluent tourists from major Asian travel hubs like Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

The Civil Aviation Training Centre will implement a comprehensive training strategy to address the expected influx of new aviation personnel, particularly pilots. Accelerated training programs for obtaining commercial pilot licenses are being established to ensure that upcoming routes and expanded fleets are staffed by adequately qualified professionals.
Additionally, efforts are being made to optimize accommodations and transit solutions.
