For the past three-quarters of a century, PATA has served as a vital collaborative platform bringing together tourism boards, airlines, hospitality entities, and travel companies from across the Asia-Pacific region. Its enduring mission emphasizes fostering cooperation, sharing valuable knowledge, and promoting sustainable tourism practices throughout diverse destinations.

The recognition initiative on this anniversary insisted on the vital role that long-term membership has played in the organization’s resilience and influence. Recognizing Institutions with Over 70 Years of Commitment

The highest honors were awarded to organizations boasting over 70 years of continuous membership. Among this distinguished group were the Guam Visitors Bureau, Hawaii Tourism Authority, Kinki Nippon Tourist Co., Ltd., and the Philippine Department of Tourism.

These institutions stand as foundational pillars of tourism development in the Asia-Pacific. Their sustained involvement reflects ongoing engagement in destination promotion, visitor growth, and the development of tourism infrastructure throughout numerous decades.

Additional members acknowledged in this category include Destination NSW, Mariana Visitors Authority, Tahiti Tourisme, and Tourism Fiji, who, while not all present, were recognized as integral members of PATA’s extended global network.

Honoring Long-Term Members with 60 Years of Service

A significant number of organizations were also celebrated for their impressive commitment of over 60 years. These esteemed entities encompass national tourism authorities, aviation companies, and travel associations that have consistently strengthened regional tourism frameworks through collaborative efforts.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board, Japan Association of Travel Agents, Korea Tourism Organization, Macao Government Tourism Office, Nepal Tourism Board, Taiwan Tourism Administration, and Thai Airways International were among those recognized in this esteemed group. Their contributions have been pivotal in shaping the Asia-Pacific tourism landscape through cohesive branding, enhancing aviation connectivity, and fostering collaborative policies.

Other notable members celebrated included Global Tour, Ltd., Smith’s Motor Boat Service, Inc., World Express Group, and Yeti Travels Pvt. Ltd. Unfortunately, some organizations, such as DTH Destination (Thailand) Limited and Ministry of Tourism of India, could not attend but were still honored for their longstanding support.

50 Years of Dedication Recognized by PATA

PATA also celebrated organizations that have surpassed the 50-year membership mark. This impressive group includes aviation leaders and hospitality giants who have endeavored to support the association through numerous transitions within the industry.

Honored entities include All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd., Dusit Thani Public Company Limited, Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority, and Tourism Solomons, among others. Their enduring relationship with PATA underscores a shared dedication to tourism as a catalyst for economic development, cultural exchanges, and connectivity within the region.

Additional members recognized in this category encompassed PACTO DMC Indonesia, India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd., and Messe Berlin / ITB Berlin, all of whom have played vital roles in supporting PATA’s mission over the years.
