Historic Cadillac Hotel in Miami Beach Welcomes Davidson Hospitality Group as New Operator

The iconic Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, is embarking on a new chapter as the Davidson Hospitality Group takes on its management. Situated along the pristine shores of Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, this 357-room oceanfront resort, which made its debut in 1940, stands as a testament to the rich architectural heritage of the area.

Davidson Hospitality Group will now oversee everyday operations, strategic positioning, and future developments at the Cadillac Hotel, which boasts an array of amenities, including four dining establishments, dual swimming pools, a well-equipped fitness center, and over 6,200 square feet of adaptable indoor and outdoor event space. This partnership highlights Hersha Hotels & Resorts’ focus on aligning its properties with expert third-party managers specializing in upscale and lifestyle hospitality.

Phased Renovation Set to Enhance Guest Experience

One of the major initiatives coinciding with this management transition is an extensive phased renovation scheduled to commence in late 2026 and extend into 2027. This revitalization effort aims to refine the public areas and guestrooms, enhancing the overall experience for guests while respecting the hotel’s distinct character.

The upcoming updates are set to transform key spaces, including the lobby and arrival areas, food-and-beverage venues, recreational zones, and in-room decor, all while keeping the hotel operational. The goal is to seamlessly blend modern comfort with the original design language, ensuring that both loyal patrons and newcomers can enjoy a refreshed, yet familiar, Miami Beach classic.

Celebrating Architectural Heritage: Art Deco Elegance

The Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club holds a special place in the architectural tapestry of Miami Beach. Designed by the renowned architect Roy F. France, the resort features two impressive towers: the original 14-story structure completed in 1940 and an eight-story annex added in 1956. Together, these buildings harmoniously embody the city’s iconic Art Deco and Streamline Moderne styles, characterized by clean lines, gentle curves, and maritime motifs.

Many of the hotel’s original features have been meticulously preserved, including classic terrazzo flooring within the lobby and lush landscaping enhancing the indoor-outdoor connection. Davidson’s guidance during the planned renovation is expected to honor these critical heritage aspects, reinforcing the property’s unique identity in a competitive coastal marketplace.

Davidson Expands Its South Florida Resort Portfolio

This new agreement signifies another prestigious addition to Davidson Hospitality Group’s expanding presence in Greater Miami and South Florida. The company already operates notable venues such as Eden Roc Miami Beach and the Nobu Hotel Miami Beach, along with the Royal Palm South Beach Miami, a Tribute Portfolio Resort.

Beyond Miami Beach, Davidson also manages Le Méridien Dania Beach at Fort Lauderdale Airport, Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, and The Singer Oceanfront Resort, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton. A new Curio Collection property, The Sunny Miami Sunny Isles Beach, is expected to open its doors in late 2026. Integrating Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club into this portfolio will enable Davidson to leverage regional synergies and offer enhanced experiences for leisure and group guests alike.

Understanding the Roles: Hersha and Davidson

The Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club is owned by Hersha Hotels & Resorts, a reputable hospitality investment firm whose diverse portfolio spans major urban centers and prime resort locations, including South Florida, New York, Washington, DC, Boston, and California. Hersha focuses on luxury and lifestyle accommodations situated in markets with significant entry barriers, partnering with specialized management groups to optimize asset performance.

On the other hand, Davidson Hospitality Group oversees an extensive array of more than 80 hotels and resorts spread across the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean, operating under esteemed brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and Kimpton. With a versatile structure that includes four distinct verticals—Davidson Hotels, Pivot, Davidson Resorts, and Davidson Restaurant Group—the company is adept at tailoring its services to suit various property types, from conventions to lifestyle resorts and gourmet dining. The Cadillac assignment will particularly draw upon Davidson Resorts’ considerable experience with large, leisure-driven beachfront properties and Davidson Restaurant Group’s expertise in amplifying food-and-beverage offerings.

Looking Ahead: A Bright Future for Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club

With Davidson Hospitality Group now at the helm and a comprehensive renovation plan underway, the Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club is set to enter an exciting new era that honors its legacy as a premier Miami Beach destination. The revitalization efforts will concentrate on enhancing guest areas, refreshments, and an elevated standard of service tailored to the needs of today’s savvy travelers who appreciate unique aesthetics and personalized hospitality.

As interest in the Greater Miami area continues to surge among international tourists, group travelers, and high-end domestic visitors, the reimagined Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club aims to strengthen its position within the Autograph Collection as well as its standing among independent resorts along the vibrant Collins Avenue. For both Davidson Hospitality Group and Hersha Hotels & Resorts, this partnership opens up new avenues for unlocking value from an iconic asset while supporting the broader advancement of luxury accommodations in Miami Beach.
