By conducting security screenings away from the busy Logan Airport terminal, the initiative aims to intercept potential congestion before it enters the airport, creating a more efficient travel buffer.
Travelers wishing to take advantage of the Framingham remote terminal service can make reservations online, with each seat available for a nominal fee of USD 9. Reservations can be made up to 90 days before a flight and will remain open until 90 minutes prior to departure. In an effort to make travel easier for families, children accompanied by a ticketed adult can travel for free. However, due to limited seating capacity, early bookings are strongly recommended to secure a spot on the shuttle service.
Upon arriving at the Framingham remote terminal, passengers will need to check in for their flights, retrieve boarding passes, and check in luggage with airline staff.
