Ministry to oversee Borobudur tourism

Hadi Tjahjanto, Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister, Indonesia, recently said that he is overseeing the development of Borobudur Super Priority Tourism Destination in regard to agrarian and spatial planning aspects.
The minister said that they are accountable for the agrarian affairs and matters related to spatial planning. There are state’s assets in regards to those plots, so they require partnership, they follow synchronization, and therefore all matters related to the assets can be handled for tourism.
Additional partnership with regional government is required to decide on matters related to tourism, he said.
He also mentioned that the ministry and local government will have to work together to summarize the spatial planning, mainly for the tourism of the province. He said that in the structural planning, one of the
characteristics covered was on power or electricity network.
Minister Tjahjanto said that at present what they are working on is all the cables, which they will be put subversive as per the spatial planning, and they will organize with regional government for the spatial planning, therefore it will not look untidy.
In Indonesia, Borobudur is one of the five Super Priority Tourism Destinations which have the possibility to develop state revenue.
