Native footballers star in Tourism Australia campaign

The youngsters are being called rising stars from the Indigenous Football team of young women of Queensland who are playing kickabout on Gold Coast beach under a star-studded night sky.

Damian Munday, chief executive, Queensland Indigenous Football, said that it is extremely thrilling for their foundation and their young female players to be part of the global activity of Tourism Australia around the FIFA World Cup for Women.


Also, this is an exclusive opportunity to increase awareness of their mission to build up more access to the opportunities related to football for young natives of Australia.


The promotional video of Holiday Highlights is part of the continuing campaign named – Come and Say G’Day to encourage tourism in Australia.


It highlights Ruby -Tourism Australia recent ambassador, a souvenir kangaroo in the appearance of a sports commentator.


The voice of the kangaroo has been provided by Rose Byrne, the Australian actress and global ambassador.


Don Farrell, Australian Tourism Minister, said that with the attention of the world turning to Australia all through the Women’s World Cup, FIFA, it is an ideal moment to display Australia and attract foreign tourists to come their amazing country.
