Notably, **77%** of those surveyed have indicated they plan to travel primarily for leisure, while **90%** prefer to stay within Europe, and **65%** are eyeing cross-border trips. Southern and Mediterranean destinations, especially **Spain, Italy, and France**, are leading this surge in travel intentions.
The substantial surge in travel intentions reflects an increase across ten key European markets, with varying degrees of growth witnessed. While consumers are preparing for their travels, the majority of this growth is concentrated on trips within Europe. Only **9%** expect to travel outside of Europe, with interest rising for distant European destinations. The report further outlines that the months of May, June, and July are expected to be the busiest travel times, with many travelers opting for trips lasting four to six nights. In contrast, the proportion of those planning extended stays of seven nights or more has seen a decline. A unique aspect of this year’s surge is the distinct preference for southern Europe. **83%** of UK respondents expressed their intent to travel, with significant interest directed towards Spain, which has been selected by **20%** of travelers. Overall, budgeting has become increasingly moderate. Many travelers are allocating between €501 and €1,000 for their trips, reflecting a more cautious outlook.
In Germany, **85%** of respondents are considering travel, while France has recorded a **79%** intention rate. Notably, travelers from the Netherlands show heightened excitement with **87%** indicating they plan to travel, confirming a robust revival in travel sentiment across the continent.
