The much-anticipated Puri-Konark rail line, an initiative by Indian Railways, is set to enhance the tourism landscape of Odisha significantly. Spanning approximately 32 kilometers, this new route will create a direct link between the revered Jagannath Temple in Puri and the globally recognized UNESCO World Heritage site, the Konark Sun Temple. Notifications have already been issued under the Railway (Amendment) Act, 2008 for affected villages in the Puri and Gop tehsils, ensuring legal approval and ongoing project momentum.
