Under the supervision of Emirates Airport Services and local airport staff, families began at the check-in area, practicing standard procedures. Participants moved through the typical high-pressure environment of security checks, and once cleared, they entered the departure lounge to experience the sensory realities of a busy terminal. The simulation culminated in a mock boarding exercise, featuring live customer announcements to replicate the authentic sounds and procedures of a real flight.

Comprehensive Arrival Simulation

The session didn’t stop at departure; it extended well into the arrival process, ensuring participants were well-prepared for every facet of air travel. Families experienced the arrival protocols, including a walkthrough of immigration and passport control processes, allowing children to interact with the systems they would encounter at a destination. Following a simulated border clearance, the group explored the baggage claim area, where they practiced identifying and retrieving their bags—a critical skill for real-world travel.

Concluding with a tour of the arrivals meet-and-greet zone, the initiative provided a complete and realistic educational experience that demystified the multifaceted processes of modern air travel, making the entire journey feel more accessible.
