While guests can still purchase beverages on shore, these will not be permitted in their staterooms. Instead, any alcohol bought during excursions will be safeguarded by ship personnel and returned only at the cruise’s conclusion. The days of extravagantly decorating stateroom doors to commemorate special occasions are nearing an end, as stricter guidelines come into play.
